You've probably heard a lot of crazy talk that the San Antonio court has gerrymandered the Congressional districts in Travis County. As you can see, there's simply no truth to this:
It's very simple: Downtown condo dwellers, UT students who live in West Campus, and South Austinites vote with Kerrville ranchers. UT students who live on campus, most of east Austin, Hyde Park and West Lake Hills vote, naturally, with the southern Fort Worth suburbs. The portion of east Austin that doesn't vote with Fort Worth votes with central San Antonio. And the Triangle and north Austin vote with west Houston.
